Great location with lovely view. Very well-equipped kitchen, and lovely to have the Aga on! A few niggles: showers were lukewarm for the most part, and we had to download a manual to get the oven up and running, as it had been left off. And the owners should make it clear that there is another holiday property sharing the same building (we found ouRead moret when we heard footsteps on stairs one evening!) which seems to share internal doors. Fortunately they were locked! Hide

Beautiful setting, plenty of room in this rambling old farmhouse. The garden is mature and full of wildlife, the house is well equipped, cosy and warm. We loved it, and would certainly come again, thank you.

The property is located at the end of a steep and narrow road. Due to the cold weather and ground frost the road was not drivable. There is alternative parking at the bottom of the hill (approx 200 metres).

Overall we had a very comfortable and good stay. We liked the downstairs rooms - the main sitting room and sunroom were lovely places to sit and read and play games, although the leak in the sunroom roof put a stop to sitting in there when it was raining! The location is great, so peaceful, with really lovely views and walks from the door. The showRead moreers were not good, very low pressures and unreliable temperatures. The beds were all very uncomfortable, new mattresses and bedding desperately needed Hide

Not clean at all . In fact it was very dirty and uncomfortable. Felt let down a bit given I had a young family. Needs updating. We stayed out mainly due to the cleanliness. Location is fab for walkers etc but not for young familys.

The cottage is in a fantastic location for exploring the Lake District and is big enough for the whole family to have their own space and en-suite too. The garden is beautiful and the views of the nearby fells is fantastic from every window. The Aga was a welcome addition too, and we managed to squeeze 3 cars out the front. Fantastic holiday! Hide
