If you’ve worked up an appetite on your adventures, you’ll find all you need in the compact kitchen to rustle up an energising snack, which you can enjoy together at the dining table for two. The open fire in the pretty lounge creates a warming focal point for relaxing evenings with a glass of wine and a good film or board game. The bedroom is both welcoming and restful, providing a comfortable place to relax after a busy day. Outside you’ll discover a shared garden with lawn and patio for the dog to explore, while you sit back with a glass of something cool.

Follow the footpath to Claife Heights (5 miles), a stunning vantage point above Lake Windermere, or explore the lake itself by hopping on one of the pleasure boats that run there. A lovely cottage ideal for 2. A small kitchen but everything to hand. Cottage is well situated less than a minute away from the centre of Hawkshead with all necessary amenities, car parking, pubs, chemist, Co-op and fish shop. Lovely walks all around. A great little cottage with own parking space. Ideal to get around the area. On the small side but very comfortable and ideal for a couple. The only problem now with Hawkshead is finding somewhere to eat in the evening. I put this down to being able to employ staff. Such a shame and needs to be rectified if you are wanting repeat custom.
