This gorgeous barn conversion lies on the edge of Caldbeck in the northern fells of the Lake District. It’s a fantastic retreat for couples or families, sleeping four people across two bedrooms. It’s a great choice for keen walkers and cyclists as there are plenty of routes and trails to discover in the surrounding area. It enjoys a peaceful location, yet the village shop, pub, café and tea shops are all less than half a mile away.

Tastefully designed with an elegant style throughout, this is a warm and welcoming home. The cosy lounge has an inviting atmosphere, with comfortable sofas to snuggle up on in front of the wood burner, after a busy day of exploring. French doors lead out into the garden where you might meet a friendly hen or two! The dining area takes in the beautiful views outside and creates a pleasant spot for everyone to enjoy a meal together. Equipped with all you might need to rustle up something tasty, the modern, cottage-style kitchen is a bright and airy space. Heading upstairs at the end of the day, unwind and enjoy a restful night’s sleep in the calming bedrooms. If your muscles need soothing after a long walk, indulge with a soak in the roll-top bath in the main bathroom. Step outside and fire up the BBQ in the garden and take in the view of the Northern Fells mountain range, or enjoy a stroll through the surrounding fields.

Caldbeck stands on the route of the Keswick to Carlisle Cumbria Way, offering many great walking opportunities. For hardier hikers, the walks to the summits of High Pike (6.5 miles) and Carrock Fell (6 miles) reward you with magnificent views.
