A very cosy and well equipped cottage in a charming location. The electric radiators do a great job but click loudly when warming, which our dog who slept in the kitchen found alarming in the early hours each morning! Very comfortable bed and superb bathroom.

A nice spacious cottage but the grassed area shown on the photos to the left of the door is actually the neighbors garden so is not accessible therefore the outside space is quite restricted. Parking is not ideal due to the road alongside the cottage being quite narrow however we did manage with a medium sized car (Volvo V60). The shower is an inteRead moreresting experience, make sure you set the water temperature before you get in. There is very little space to store foodstuff other than in the fridge Hide

Our third stay at The Dairy. Very comfy and cosy little cottage, well equipped, quiet and romantic. Super comfy bed! The location is perfect for walks, and Coniston village and Brantwood House (and cafe) are only a 20-25 minute stroll away, so we didn't need to drive every day which was great. The Old Dairy is in a delightful location an it was cosy and comfortable up to a point. The bed especially was good. However, the main room lacks lighting and the furniture is a bit firm. The chairs in the kitchen are uncomfortable.

This cottage is not 5 star. It is tired and needs some TLC. Three of the radiators were not working when we arrived on the Saturday and it took until Wednesday afternoon to fix them. The bathroom sink tap broke (this was fixed immediately). There was soot and debris in the hearth and on the carpet in the bedroom which was not cleaned up and a damp Read morepatch in the bedroom ceiling. There are better properties available for the money. And the parking is tight if you have a larger vehicle. Hide

Perfect location, had everything you could need! Very lovely cottage with comfortable bed, good shower and such a peaceful location, would definitely come back! There isnt anywhere to let the dog off the lead safely outside of the cottage bar a very small concrete area due to the other properties being private but there are grassy verges on the roaRead mored.
