This charming romantic retreat enjoys a peaceful location in the pretty village of Bouth. Just a stone’s throw from the local pub, it’s surrounded by beautiful countryside and within easy reach of the southern lakes and fells. One canine is welcome to join you at this pretty cottage too, making it a rural escape for you all.
Tasteful decor and comfortable furnishings throughout, make this home a lovely bolthole for your holiday. The open-plan living space on the ground floor is contemporary in style, with the odd original feature too. The modern kitchen is perfect for preparing snacks or a candlelit meal, which can be enjoyed at the dining table. At the end of a long day of walking, let the dog stretch out on the rug as you both settle down in the lounge area in front of a film, for a cosy night in. Heading upstairs, sink down under the covers and drift off into a deep sleep in the restful bedroom, which is light and calming. Wake up to those pretty views across the fields, before freshening up in the stylish bathroom. Enjoy some al fresco dining in the sunny patio garden, which also has a delightful summer house which is lovely come rain or shine. A section of the garden is enclosed with a barrier, which can be removed if necessary.
Both Lake Windermere (5 miles) and Coniston Water (6 miles) offer a range of water sports as well as pleasure cruises to different locations. Wander around the cobbled streets of Hawkshead (9 miles) before stopping off to eat at one of its many pubs. Follow one of the walking trails that pass your front door, or for a more challenging day, climb to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston, 12 miles away.
