Particularly popular amongst foodies, you will love the well-equipped kitchen area, equipped with all sorts of accoutrements and a stylish AGA. Separated over different levels, the lower ground floor of this cottage features a handy utility area (great for washing off those muddy clothes) and a shower room, while on the first floor are the bedrooms and another bathroom.
With so much on offer in the town and within walking distance, you can easily ditch the car and make use of the local attractions. You can even walk the 1 mile to the North Fen National Nature Reserve at the head of the stunning Esthwaite Water. That said, the opportunities are endless, and you can also drive the 4 miles to Coniston with its popular lake and array of shops or the 4 miles to Mitchell Wyke Ferry for a cruise over Windermere. Elsewhere, why not relive childhood tales at the National Trust-run Hill Top, the former home of Beatrix Potter (2.5 miles), or follow the many trails of Grizedale Forest (3 miles)?
