This charming two-bedroom cottage is situated within walking distance of the popular coastal town of Grange-over-Sands. Perfectly suiting a couple or small family with one dog, it’s a brilliant base for exploring this lovely coastal area, with the southern shores of Lake Windermere a short drive away. There are some super hikes on the doorstep and local shops, pubs, restaurants and the beach are all within walking distance.

This pretty home has been tastefully designed and decorated to create a welcoming, home-from-home. The spacious lounge/diner is a bright room, with some original features as well as new sash windows. Cosy up in front of the wood burner in the evenings, as you enjoy a film or simply talk about the day’s events over a glass of wine. The dining table has seating for everyone, while the stylish kitchen is equipped with all the modern appliances you’ll need to whip up a tasty snack or romantic meal for two. The two bedrooms, a double and a single, are located upstairs and are inviting and restful, with pretty, simple decor. Enjoy a long soak in the roll-top bath in the chic bathroom, or a refreshing blast under the wet room-style shower. Doors in the kitchen open out into an enclosed yard which is perfect for a spot of al fresco dining while the dog explores.

Meander around the town’s shopping arcade and take a stroll along the popular promenade before enjoying a picnic on the beach. Enjoy a lazy day on Lake Windermere (7.5 miles) with boat trips and scenic walks to enjoy on its shores. If food is your thing then don’t miss the chance to visit some of the fantastic eateries in Cartmel (1.5 miles), home to the sticky toffee pudding.

Quirky cottage full of character. Kitchen very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very easy heating system ( it was very cold when we arrived so had to turn heating on) Parking is on a busy road outside the property.

A lovely terraced cottage thoughtfully upgraded and furnished with quality materials. You get the impression that the owner wanted to impress and they did. Modern kitchen and bathroom, again full of solid and quality fittings. A lovely place to relax but a good centre for the Lakes. Nowhere is more than an hour away including Lancaster and MorecambRead moree. Good view of the bay. Watch the tides come and go. Lovely and I am sure we will return. Thank you. Hide

Absolutely beautiful cottage, and I cannot fault it in anyway. Everything you need for a quality break is there, even down to dog bowls. The village itself is peaceful and has lovely surroundings. It was my first time at the cottage and Grange-over-Sands, with my dog - and it definitely won't be my last, and hopefully back at Poppy's Nook cottage tRead moreoo. Hide

Poppys Nook is a very nice place and we found it had everything we needed for a week away. The area at the back of the house doesnt get any sun which is unfortunate. The front garden gets a lot. It is a long walk down hill to the town and even longer one uphill back. Theres a nice walk through the woods opposite down to the promenade which is lovelRead morey. Hide

Fabulous cottage in an amazing location. We loved our stay and will definitely return. Grange over sands is a lovely place with great walks and an abundance of shops and pubs . Cottage is within a short walk from Cartmel - which is well worth s visit or two.

The cottage is clean and decorated neutrally throughout. It's well stocked and very comfortable. It's a bit of a walk down into Grange but otherwise the location is good to get to Cartmel (well worth a visit), Holker Hall and general walks in the area.

This is a great property. Well equipped and lovely decor. The bed was very comfortable. The only down side was the hill to and from the centre of the village. It took a couple of days to get used to it!

A comfortable place to stay and well equipped. Good view of the bay from the bedroom window. Small outside seating area at rear.

I love Poppy's Nook - this was my second visit. Great location, lovely views, comfortable cottage. Only drawback is that previous guests hadn't put out the bins. In spite of this I woldn't be surprised to find myself booking again!
