This charming lodge for up to three people, is set in an idyllic woodland between the popular destinations of Ambleside and Skelwith Bridge. It’s perfectly located for exploring the lakes and two dogs are also welcome, who will no doubt love the many walks which pass the front door. Guests also benefit from full use of the on-site leisure complex, which includes a pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
This quaint log cabin has been thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming and relaxing retreat. Steps lead down to the entrance which goes on into the spacious open-plan living area. The stylish kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to make yourselves at home when preparing meals. Enjoy a hearty breakfast or a quick snack at the dining table, before unwinding on the inviting leather sofas in the lounge while the coal effect electric fire warms your toes and weary paws. In the two pretty bedrooms, a double and a single, wake up from a restful sleep and take in those beautiful woodland views. A shower room is also on this level. Sit back and take in your tranquil surroundings on the terrace, before soothing aching muscles with a swim or sauna at the on-site leisure complex.
A local pub and shop are within walking distance, while the bustling town of Ambleside (5 miles) is great for a meander. From there, take to the water at Lake Windermere and enjoy a pleasure cruise, before stopping off to explore the fascinating Wray Castle, which overlooks the lake. Hawkshead (6.5 miles) is popular for its cobbled streets, pubs and Beatrix Potter Gallery, which celebrates the author’s early work.
