Spacious, homely and full of natural light, this large property has been tastefully refurbished to provide generous living areas, neutral decor and plenty of home comforts. A large kitchen/diner is fitted with an Aga, ample surface space and dining table for breakfasts and lunches, while evening meals are best enjoyed beside the wood burner in the fabulous dining room. Ideal for families, this property offers a choice of reception rooms for relaxing after busy days. Upstairs, the bedrooms and bathrooms have been beautifully finished with soft hues and elegant furnishings, while outside there is a patio, lawn and BBQ area to enjoy.

Set on the western edge of the Lake District National Park, this fabulous property is an excellent starting point for walks up to Loweswater (4.5 miles), Buttermere (10.5 miles), Crummock (11.5 miles) and Ennerdale (7 miles). Just 5 miles away is Cockermouth and its abundance of eateries and shops for stocking up on supplies or enjoying a meal out when you’d rather not cook. While keen walkers should take on Scafell Pike (24.5 miles) or Skiddaw (17 miles), more leisurely days out can be enjoyed at the Jennings Brewery (5.5 miles).

Stunning spacious property with beautiful views. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Incredible amount of crockery, pots and pans, cutlery etc. Absolutely everything we needed for our family of 10. Also Ann(e) was a joy to meet.

Beautiful house in a pretty village setting. Very warm and comfortable with lots of comfy sofas and very good beds. Very well equipped kitchen. The owners are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic family home, we stayed there with all of the family 8 adults and 4 children age 4 ,5 7 & 8 . We were staying at Ullock Mains for a fiftieth birthday. Four families of varying ages really enjoyed the house and its amazing kitchen and vast selection of kitchen equipment. We were able to have a feast for fourteen around the gorgeous large table and all sleep and socialise comfortably. This beautifully furnished property was an ideal place for our family celebration. It was extremely well equipped and we did not run short of anything. It was very warm and cosy and the open fires were amazing. The location was great and we went in several walks. Highly recommended and will definitely recommend to friends.

A beautiful, well equipped and extremely comfortable house. We had a fabulous stay with loads of room for 10 adults. The house is lovely - nicely furnished but still very homely. The kitchen is great for preparing large meals and the extra dishwasher in the dining room made clearing up really easy.
