Tucked between the vibrant hubs of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, enjoy peace and quiet at home, yet stay close to an array of eateries, shops and local amenities. Sleeping four guests across two beautiful bedrooms, this abode is perfect for couples or small families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of their everyday routine. Welcoming a pair of pups too, enjoy dog-friendly cruises on Lake Windermere and head out for adventures all together.
Step up and inside and find yourself in the sleek, spacious and stylish kitchen/diner. After stocking the cupboards with your provisions, pop the kettle on and bask in the natural light which floods inside through the bay window. A wonderfully bright space, you will find everything you need here to prepare picnics, snacks and three-course feasts. A second bay window creates a lovely and inviting place to relax in the lounge where a pair of sofas sit in front of the Smart TV, great for film nights and lazy mornings. After long days and sociable evenings, descend stairs to the lower ground floor where two gorgeous bedrooms offer a quiet night’s sleep. Both bedrooms boast en-suite facilities, and the second king size bedroom (can be made into a twin, must be stated at the time of booking) has patio doors leading to the garden so you can meet fellow guests for an al fresco tipple. There is roadside parking nearby.
Wander less than a mile into thriving Bowness-on-Windermere and hop on a cruise to Ambleside or Lakeside where you can jump off and explore. On your return, stock up on delicious produce or treat yourselves to a meal out and enjoy taking a night off from the kitchen. Beatrix Potter fans can enjoy a day out at the National Trust’s Hill Top (4 miles across the lake), where the author spent time after the success of her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, and where you can wander the quaint 17th-century farmhouse and gardens.
