Set right in centre of the Lakes this stone-built cottage is the perfect place to escape and explore this beautiful region.

For the perfect romantic getaway filled with date nights in traditional pubs and days spent exploring outside, escape to the heart of the Lake District and call this bolthole home. Tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Outgate, tracks and trails lead straight from the local village and Lake Windermere is just 2 miles away. After days out and about, fire up the wood burner and settle down for a romantic night in, just the two of you.

Step inside this Lakeland cottage and find yourselves in the lounge, the perfect place to start your holiday with the roaring wood burner and stack of board games. After returning home from adventurous days out, relax into the sofa or the armchair, switch on the Smart TV and unwind for a while before it’s time to think about heading into the kitchen and cooking up a feast. Spacious and light, with gorgeous green views, make light work of dinnertime and enjoy experimenting with flavours. With ample room for both of you, spend quality time cooking together and eating at the dining table before enjoying a sundowner on the patio. When it’s time to sneak off to bed, the king-size bedroom invites you to enjoy a good night’s sleep. Freshen up in the shower room and enjoy a coffee from the nespresso machine before you head out for the day. There is off-road parking for two cars.

A mile from home is the quaint market town of Hawkshead; leave the car behind and wander the beautiful streets which are dotted with the haunts of Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. If you fancy exploring on two wheels, Grizedale Forest is a great place to start (4.5 miles) or make a splash on the water and hop on a cruise of Lake Windermere from Ambleside (4 miles). Treat yourselves to a night off from the kitchen with a meal in the local pub which is less than a mile from your door.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, immaculately kept, it was an absolute pleasure staying. The log fire was beautiful and very quickly heated the entire room. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a stay in the lakes. Easy to find from the directions given and close enough to local facilities to not have to worry about anything.
