With a good range of equipment, the bright and spacious kitchen/diner is the heart of the house, where you can get together to prepare and share a fantastic family meal. You will have a choice of three double bedrooms, all with plenty of storage space and with views overlooking the front garden. One of the rooms has a lovely en-suite shower room, and there’s also a family bathroom. Outside, the delightful courtyard garden has a choice of outdoor furniture making it perfect for morning coffee or al fresco dining.
The pretty village of Haverthwaite is best known as the home of the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, a charming steam train line that will take you through to the southern tip of Windermere (4 miles). Other local attractions include Fell Foot, the Lakeland Motor Museum, Stott Park Bobbin Mill and the Lakes Aquarium in Newby Bridge (all within 4.5 miles). The sparkling Coniston Water is to the north (8 miles), or you can head to the Furness Peninsula, home of the South Lakes Safari Zoo (9.5 miles) and Ulverston’s Laurel and Hardy Museum (6 miles).
