Make the 7-mile trip to the coast where you can wander the estuary and fill your lungs with sea air. Stay closer to home and walk 2 miles to Burnmoor Tarn or simply stroll the banks of the River Esk and enjoy a refreshing paddle. Tuck into lunch at one of the local pubs or savour a cold drink in the sun. A 6-mile drive takes you to the Stanley Ghyll waterfall where you can be brave and head in for a dip or just admire the tumbling water from afar.
Head inside this rustic cottage and make your way into the lounge where you can take a seat in front of the TV and watch a DVD. A sofa and a pair of armchairs provide each guest with somewhere to curl up and get cosy by the coal-effect electric fire.
