A handsome, country home sleeping up to 12 guests and set in gorgeous, leafy gardens, within the picturesque village of Lamplugh, close to Loweswater and Crummock Water.

Spread out and make yourselves at home in this striking, six-bedroom holiday home, where up to 12 guests and three happy hounds can relax in comfort. Head out from the tranquil village of Lamplugh to explore the Ennerdale Valley and Loweswater Fells. Walk around beautiful Loweswater itself, 3 miles away, or hike to Crummock Water, 3.5 miles away, taking in the spectacular mountain views on the route. Go horse-riding or mountain biking in the area. Drive 7 miles to Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, to shop for delicious local produce, or spend the afternoon in Keswick, 17 miles away, to browse in its independent outlets and perhaps dine out.

Enter this beautiful barn conversion to discover its clever, upside-down layout. Find the generous reception hall gives access to four of the bedrooms: these include two doubles, a twin and a bunk room. There is also a family bathroom, with WC, hand basin , bath and separate shower, plus a separate WC and a utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer at this level. Venture upstairs to find your splendid lounge/diner, with its high vaulted and beamed ceiling. Settle on the sofas in here to watch TV or play a game together. Make your way over to the large table for jolly group meals prepared in the kitchen next door. Equipped with an electric, range-style cooker, two fridges, freezer, dishwasher, and microwave, you will find everything you need here to whip up hearty holiday fare. Also upstairs, find a twin room, plus a super-king-size room (which can be made into twins upon request), with en-suite shower room, with WC and hand basin. The property also has  games room with a pool table and table football.

Wander through the shared gardens here to your hearts’ content and discover lots of outdoor seating areas (please note there is a stream running through the shared garden so children must be supervised at all times. ) Find you also have a private garden area for your own use. Cross a bridge over a stream to relax in the secret garden. Parking can be found in front of the garages.

A great house which worked really well for a group of 11 people. Warm, comfortable and cosy. Could do with another bathroom and better cleaning regime.

An excellent situation fo 11of us to meet up after 5 years.The gardens are lovely, ideal for the dog to explore.The kitchen was very well equipped, & immaculate. Sadly the rest of the house was quite grubby, especially the bathroom, 3 are not enough for 11 people.The furniture & fittings were dusty & cobwebby. Plenty to do in the area, lovely afterRead morenoon tea at Bassenthwaite station was a real highlight,. The house is ideal for a big reunion, need to up the cleaning Hide

Very good, quiet location. Clean, tidy accommodation and lovely garden area. Would recommend to anyone who wanted somewhere for a large group of family or friends.

A lovely house, in a peaceful location but within easy reach of Keswick. Great property for family gatherings. This was our second time here for special birthday celebrations. Seamless booking system, would definitely reccomend.

We were a family of 13 and this place was perfect , perfect location , perfect grounds , perfect bedroom layouts honestly we all had an absolutely fantastic stay and cant wait to come back . We have been away lot of time as a family for birthdays etc and this was the cleanest place we have stayed .

This property needs deep clean and work done to bring it up to standard silly thinks like no clocks work either replace batteries or remove ! needs some tlc on repairs to restore this to standard we had to contact the team on more than one occasion what I will say is the customer service team to respond was fantastic but you shouldnt have to do thiRead mores on the amount of times we had to contact them Hide

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time - a very lazy Christmas for a large family group. The only real downside of the property is that the kitchen is not of sufficient size for a party of 12.

This is a lovely property with amazing gardens and good access to local walks. The kitchen is quite small if considering cooking for large groups, although there is plenty of crockery/glasses/pans etc and the range stove and two fridges are great. We did have some issues with the standard of cleaning but extensively highlighted these so I would expRead moreect these to be rectified. Hide

Absolutely loved this place! The footage was beautiful and clean and had an amazing vibe. The kitchen was fully equipped. Enough bathrooms for a large family with extra toilet paper n hand towels. Rooms were clean and cosy. 10/10 would recommend

A fantastic cottage in spectacular grounds - booked for mum's 80th birthday and first full family get together in 3 years couldn't have asked for better place to do that. Lovely welcome gift also from Rob & Sally - thank you.
