This pretty romantic bolthole is an apartment in a large house originally developed in 1886. It’s a comfortable space that is well furnished and decorated. The large porch has plenty of space for boots, wellies and coats before you head into the open-plan living/dining and kitchen area. Cosy down in front of the open fire on the sofa for a relaxing evening in. There is a TV with a DVD player to keep you entertained, or you could simply enjoy the views towards Corney Fell. At one end of this area is a dining table with four chairs. The wooden-panelled kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with an oven, hob, fridge and microwave. Head through to the bedroom where there is a beautiful ornamental fireplace and a wooden double bed. There’s also a dressing table and wardrobe. The large bathroom has a WC and shower over the bath.
Outside is a marvellous, enclosed garden space. It’s a real sun trap and a great place for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There’s a seating area with a parasol surrounded by beautiful shrubs and trees, and space on the lawn to play games. Parking for one car is available on a driveway to the front of the apartment and there is also secure bike storage for those who are bringing bicycles. A convenience shop and two pubs are within 300 metres.
