On the plus side the cottage was in a good location, warm, with hot water and reasonably comfortable. However it was very poorly equipped for a week's stay - my food froze in the fridge, (other guests had mentioned this in the visitors book), pans were warped and wouldn't work on the hob, kitchen utensils were poor. I found the mattress (memory foaRead morem?) hot. Overall the cottage was a tired and could do with a bit of TLC. It would be ok for a weekend but I wouldn't stay for a week. Hide

Nice compact cottage in a lovely area. Although small great use of the available space so very well equipped. It was cold and dark when we arrived but the heating was on and nice fresh flowers, choc cookies, tea and coffee in the welcome pack. There was even a bag of treat biscuits and toys left out for the dog. Exceptionally clean 10/10.

We stayed at Cherry Tree Cottage for a birthday treat and it was the perfect place for us, especially having the wood burner for the evenings making it very cozy. The location is lovely and just a 15 minute walk into Cockermouth where there are lots of places to eat and drink. Would definitely return in the future.

Lovely cozy cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was a beautiful little haven to return to after some very wet and windy walks. The dogs particularly enjoyed curling up in front of the log burner.
