Set in the Lake District National Park, this charming property is a true home from home. It’s made for families who want to explore Cumbria’s heritage and spectacular surroundings.

Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, this holiday home lies in the heart of the vibrant market town of Keswick with its array of family-friendly amenities and independent shops within half a mile of the property. Discover the town’s heritage sites - the Keswick Museum, Derwent Pencil Museum, and Puzzle Place, a fascination house of illusions – or venture further to Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles). There’s also a swimming pool, cinema, and theatre in town so you’ll never be stuck for rainy-day fun. Follow the 10-mile Derwentwater Lake Walk to see all corners of this magical lake; paths are flat and you’ll pass through leafy woods - you can even cruise along the way by boat.

Step inside this cosy holiday home where the owners’ attention to detail ensures the happiest of holidays. Admire the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, decorated in contemporary style with calming neutrals harmonising with the original timber-beamed ceiling with brass features. After a day wandering Wainwright trails, retreat to the comfort of your holiday home and relax with a good book in cosy seating by the pebble-effect gas fire before preparing delicious home-cooked feasts together in the well-equipped galley kitchen. You’ll find an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. Plan film nights with the TV and DVD player - you’ll find a selection of DVDs to choose from. When the day is done, venture upstairs where there are two bedrooms with seating and storage space: a twin bedroom with books to enjoy, and a double bedroom with a dressing table. There’s also a stylish family bathroom on this floor with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, you’ll find convenient off-road parking available for one car. There are shops, pubs and eateries within half a mile.

Absolutely superb location next to the main street so our teenage daughters could explore the town without us. Despite the town centre spot it was quiet at night. Loads of walking from base so the car didnt move all bank holiday weekend. So many eateries and bars. Even walked to watch a show at the Theatre by the Lake. The house was lovely and warmRead more. Great location but can get a bit noisy in the morning with traffic outside. WiFi is very good. Car parking is very good. Beds are very comfy. No problems sleeping. Heating system is very good. Kitchen facilities are very good.

Cottage was in a great location for town and lake. Parking a little awkward but helpful being in centre of town. Cottage was cosy and had everything we needed.

VERY conveniently placed to all amenities; restaurants, cinema, shops, supermarket and walks - the car didn't move all week! Hive heating so easy to use. Parking space outside the front door saved a fortune! Lovely little place!

The cottage could hardly be closer to the centre of the delightful town of Keswick. You can walk to the shops and pubs in literally a minute and the main supermarket is only a five minute walk away. Derwent Water is a ten minute walk. However despite its central location we had no real issue with noise. You can park directly outside the property buRead moret do be aware that the parking spaces in the street are for Blue Badge holders. There were only two of us staying but four people can stay. Hide

Excellent location. So handy for the shops and pubs yet still quiet enough at night to not have any disturbances. Our dog loved the cottage and settled in brilliantly. The cottage still felt clean and good quality despite pets being allowed- some places weve stayed before have felt a little neglected because of the allowing of dogs. very good location for the centre of Keswick. comfortable and clean. Only down side was the noise both from the front, deliveries to nearby pubs and shops and also the back has staff from the hotel taking breaks outside smoking and making a noise. Just be aware if you like peace and quiet!!

Perfect location, fabulous cottage. Loved it and would definitely would go back in a heartbeat. Just a couple of niggles. Inside kitchen bin lid wouldn't close, no spatula and Henry hoover was missing his extension tube making it very difficult to clean up.

The cottage is in a perfect location. With parking outside. Good size cottage with everything you need in it. Great wi-fi. Basic TV with basic channels. Which was fine. Can have a bit of traffic noise at the front. Mostly early morning. But wasn't really an issue. Lovely cottage in a brilliant location. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Dog friendly which is a bonus for us having 2 dogs. Surprisingly quiet given that it's located just off the market place. We loved the cottage so much we would definitely consider booking again next year.

Lovely cottage and loved all the Christmas decorations. It was really cosy even my dog was right at home and it's in the perfect location for the town centre. Would definitely come back and would recommend any family or friends to go to this cottage

I spent a lovely few days at Conifer Cottage with my daughter . Brilliant location for both the town /shops and the lake . The cottage was well planned out and lovely and clean. It was my third visit and l will definitely be returning sometime soon .

Cottage itself was very comfortable, had excellent facilities & was brilliantly located but the beds were very uncomfortable Would happily stay again if mattresses were changed.

Excellent location. Even with our large car and workmen 2 doors down they were very helpful at moving vans to get ours out. Only twice on the week! Comfy and welcoming. Hope to return.

Lovely, clean and well equipped cottage. Would not be able to fit a large or wide vehicle directly outsideas its so tight for two cars to pass, but otherwise this is a superb little place. It is so conveniently placed in the centre of Keswick just a few yards off the main street and is ideal for visiting Derwentwater and the nearby Hope Park and GrRead moreeta Park.
