If you like to absorb the sights and sounds of water, the shores of Ullswater are just 1 mile away and you can easily walk there. Head to the northern side of the lake and visit the spectacular Aira Force Waterfall. Keen bikers will love a visit to Whinlatter (21 miles) where there is an abundance of purpose-built cycling trails through the forest. There’s a lovely country-style pub less than 0.5 miles away serving up some fabulous home-cooked food.
This delightful property forms the self contained ground floor level of a traditional Lakeland house. Enter through the large doors into the bright and comfortable living and dining area. There is plenty of seating available on the sofa and a TV with freeview and a DVD player, ideal for evenings in. Tuck into home-cooked meals at the dining table which seats all four guests. Head through to the small galley kitchen that is well-equipped for your self-catering stay including an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher. A light and bright master double bedroom has stunning views from the window and an en-suite with shower and WC. The twin bedroom has a door leading to the terrace and garden and a family bathroom with a bath and shower tap fitting completes the interior of the property.
To the front of the property is a private driveway which has room for three cars. Outside the back of the cottage is a magnificent, mature garden with amazing views over the Lakeland fells and mountains. The garden has a spacious lawned area and a sheltered terrace space with pretty garden furniture. Pour a glass of wine and enjoy watching the sunset behind the mountains beyond.
