Cute little cottage, right size for me and two of my children. Remember no wi-fi, also very little signal in the house so go prepared with games and puzzles. There was a good selection of books. Great location for Whinlatter, Keswick and Buttermere.

We had a great stay at Cobblers Cottage, 3 adults and our dog. It is really cosy and comfortable and in an unspoilt part of the lake district with easy access to Crummock Water and Buttermere. Its on a very quiet little lane with a river running behind. Lovely little shop and pub nearby and a lot of Lakeland character with a great multifuel /woodbuRead morerner. Easy access to Cockermouth and Keswick for bigger shops. Hide

Cobblers Cottage is a lovely cosy property, we had a lovely week here lighting the fire and cosying up on a night. The village of Lorton is lovely too and you are able to drive to wonderful locations such as crummock water and buttermere within minutes. We will be back Michael and Danni

Lovely cottage , needed the heaters on as we picked a week that turned cold ( arrived late on the Saturday evening and no fuel for the the burner) Tiny patio area but was enclosed - new fence had been put up a month earlier but is a shared access. Easy access to main Keswick - Cockermouth road ,parking further up the lane (ignore signs that say notRead more suitable for cars - just take it slow ) No wi-fi or phone signal in the cottage and tv is only tiny , so could do with updating. Too many cobwebs !! Hide

Lovely little cottage, second time staying here. It's a peaceful and cosy hideaway. An excellent basecamp for the northern fells. The Wheatsheaf is a superb pub across the field and the village shop round the corner is excellent.

Cosy cottage provides excellent value for money. Description on website is honest and accurate. Location is great and within easy reach of Keswick. The only slight disappointment was the weak shower over the bath but the comfortable beds and high quality bed linen made up for that. We will definitely return one day

3rd stay at cobblers, the area is great with some great fells. Love the view of hopegill head at the back of the property. Lorton is a great small village, quiet during our visit. The fire is great and love no wifi and poor phone signal. Im sure we will be back as very relaxing break.

Great, cosy little cottage. Easy to get to the heart of the Lakes. Small, expensive local shop/cafe, very friendly and helpful - they sell kindling if you need more. Great village for stargazing on a clear night.

We loved the location of the cottage. Great little village which has a friendly local shop. Lots of thinks to do that are under an hour away. Cottage has a nice homely feel to it and has All the utensils etc that you would need and a nice fire place. Has a shared garden with a gate that can just be pushed open, neighbours need access so we couldn'tRead more close it. It lead straight to the road so wasn't ideal for our 3 yr old. Hide
