Escape to the Lake District with its spectacular lakes, fells and attractions. Nestled in the bustling town of Keswick, this home provides a wonderful base from which to explore Derwentwater and its surrounding villages, pubs and scenic spots. Time your trip right and you can enjoy attending one of the festivals which take place in Keswick throughout the year. After adventurous days out, whip up a meal with goodies from the twice-weekly local market or tuck into a tasty dish from one of Keswick’s pubs, just 200 metres from the doorstep. Spend your days making a splash on the water and book a boat trip from the local launch where you can lap the lake or hop on and off to explore your surroundings.  If you prefer quieter activities' you can visit the renowned Theatre-by-the-Lake, tor catch a film at the beautiful Alhambra cinema or pop into one of the museums in town. 

Steps from the road lead to the door where you can head inside this attractive abode and make yourselves at home in the welcoming open-plan living space. Fitting together to create a light, bright heart of the home, the lounge/kitchen/diner invites you to spend time together before and after adventures. Relax on the sofa in front of the Smart TV and wood burner effect electric fire before rustling up a feast and plating up in the stylish kitchen area. When it’s time to say goodnight, find both the twin and the king-size bedrooms on the first floor. Offering lovely places in which to drift off, the master room boasts mountain views whilst the twin room has views stretching over the garden. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom with a burst of bright colour and a separate bath and shower so you can choose between a luxurious soak or a refreshing rinse.

Make the most of balmy evenings and spend time outside in the garden. Reached by stone steps, this fabulous area catches the sun’s rays in the evening, making it a great place to unwind after busy days.  There is off-road parking for one car.

Fantastic location and the cottage is well equipped. Owner was friendly and replaced a broken kettle quickly, once we had notified them. Would recommend hiring this cottage

Lovely cottage. Great location and real asset to have designated parking space. Used buses for linear walks so hardly moved car. Location is quiet. Cottage has everything you need for a great walking week.

This is a lovely, comfortable cottage which is situated in the town. We had a surprisingly quiet stay, considering the location. There was a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated and the friendly owner called by to check all was to our satisfaction, which it was. We stayed for a week and everything was great right down to the weather sunshine every day. The location of the cottage could not be better and we saw Keswick at its best.
