Sleeping six guests, this home is great for families and friends and its location close to the heart of Keswick means you can visit pubs, pubs and rainy-day attractions with ease.
With so much to explore, plan your days wisely to make the most of your fabulous position. Pick up goodies from the twice-weekly market in Keswick or treat yourselves to a night off from the kitchen and a trip to the movies or the Theatre by the Lake (both less than a mile). Take to the water and book on a cruise of Derwentwater where you can get on and off to explore. From Lodore (3 miles), visit the falls, walk up the family-friendly fell of Catbells from Hawse End (3.5 miles) or hire stand-up paddleboards and kayaks and make a splash. The idyllic Borrowdale Valley sits 6.5-miles south of your door and is a wonderful place to spend the day adventuring.
Hang up hats and coats in the hall before making your way inside to settle down. Sumptuous style flows throughout the open-plan living space where the kitchen, lounge and diner fit together to create an inviting heart of the home. A large sofa and pair of chairs sit around the wood burner so you can get warm and cosy and sit in front of the TV/DVD or with a good book for a quiet afternoon. When it’s time to feed hungry guests, underfloor heating in the kitchen keeps your toes toasty and the light, fresh decor makes it a lovely space to be the designated chef. It is well-equipped with an oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Dine together at the table where a wood burner-effect gas fire throws warmth into the air so you can sit a while and raise a toast to time spent together. When it’s time to say goodnight and rest your heads, head up to the first floor where you can find the king-sized bedroom with its lovely bay window and seating area. Also on this floor are a handy cloakroom and two bathrooms with free-standing tubs, WCs and separate showers. Climbing up to the second floor, find the super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (request if you want it to be made up as a twin) and the double room, both with sloping ceilings. Sharing a wardrobe on the landing, there is room to hang up your best clothes.
If you fancy taking your morning coffee alfresco, head outside and down a couple of steps to the yard where a table and chairs offer you the perfect spot to sit down in the fresh air. Take a tipple outside or around to the bench at the front of the house, another lovely spot to sit for a while. There is roadside parking.
