Enjoy a fabulous holiday without venturing far from your door. With plenty of places to enjoy meals out, a tipple or two, or to spend rainy days, Keswick and it’s pretty streets are lined with pubs and attractions. When visiting the Lake District, it’s a must to book on a cruise and take to the water. Perfectly positioned for exploring Derwentwater, hop on a boat at the local marina (1.5 miles) or hire your own and make a splash! For panoramic views with a climb that is not too strenuous, walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle (1.5 miles) for far-reaching vistas and a mountainous backdrop. If you fancy a family-friendly night out of the house, visit the Theatre by the Lake or the local cinema.

Make your way inside after strolling the terrace which is shared with the neighbouring properties and head into the inviting open-plan living space. After a long journey put your feet up by the wood burner and enjoy a cosy moment in front of the TV/DVD. If you fancy taking in the views whilst delving into a book, then find a spot on the window seat and watch the world go by. Flowing through to the sleek kitchen/diner, find everything you need to cook up a storm, including a fan oven, ceramic hobs, a microwave, dishwasher, and a large fridge/freezer, and make use of the handy washer/dryer so you can clean muddy clothes fresh from adventures. After enjoying meals together at the table, climb to the first and second floors to rest your head. Treated to an en-suite shower room, the master bedroom has a double bed, TV and sumptuous decor to help whisk you off to sleep. On the first floor, you can also find the contemporary family bathroom with WC where you are invited to enjoy a soak or a rinse off in the shower over the bath. On the second floor, the tranquil twin bedroom (can be made up as a super-king-size bed if requested when booking) has quirky sloping ceilings and panoramic views of fells including Skiddaw. Spend a lazy morning in bed with the TV switched on before descending downstairs to get ready for the day ahead.

Take a mug of coffee outside to the small front patio where you can spend time in the fresh air whilst your dogs stretch their legs. Register for free parking in the local car park 24 hours before arriving.

Nice comfortable cottage and centrally located, no problem parking in nearby car park. If you are taking a dog, it doesnt state when booking they are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture, although lots of throws are provided.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. I would agree with some earlier reviews in that it was a shame there wasnt anything there on arrival (empty tea and coffee jars) but maybe this isnt how things are done anymore. I would also point out that the photos do make the cottage (albeit lovely) appear bigger than it is, and I felt the downstairsRead more was more catered for 2 people than 4. If anyone is taking pets, just bear in mind there isnt an enclosed garden. All being said, it is lovely. Hide

Located centrally in the town, perfect for shopping. The carpark is just across the road, but finding a space can be difficult at peak times. The outside has no secure fenced area for pets, but there is a park, just across the road. Very warm and comfortable accommodation.

This is a lovely cosy cottage conveniently situated for all of Keswick's amenities. The close proximity to the car park is not in the least intrusive, and the slightly raised gardens and frontage give plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend.

An amazing property right in the middle of Keswick, will definitely go back. Booked it for my girlfriends birthday and she absolutely loved it. We spent time in front of the fire in the night and walking on the hills surrounding the village in the day. The property was super-clean and warm for us upon arrival. Literally no negative comments about iRead moret. Absolutely loved it and will come back! Hide

Lovely cottage , ideally situated but would like to point out to people bringing dogs the garden is not enclosed and no dogs on furniture or in bedrooms . Otherwise was lovely . Would have liked oven gloves .

We liked the property and location but I would point out that the front garden is open to the street and the rear is basically an alleyway so nowhere secure for dogs to be let out on their own. We just coated up and went with the pup when nature called.

Nice cottage in a very central location (road noise will be an issue for some) but massively let down by the maintenance and particularly the cleaning of the property.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a really good location - close to shops & restaurants. Beds very comfortable - would have given 5 stars if there were some extra kitchen things (oven gloves etc) & if there had been a welcome basket (not even a teabag was a surprise) but would return if back this way.
