Great for families, this attractive home blends traditional character with modern interiors and benefits from a central location in the heart of popular Braithwaite.
If you fancy a day of summit-topping, Barrow (1.5 miles), Causey Pike (2 miles) and Grisedale Pike (2.5 miles) offer panoramic views and lie close to home. Reward your efforts with a meal in a local pub or at the hotel next door and enjoy a night away from the kitchen. A 2.5-mile trip takes you to the vibrant market town of Keswick, where museums, a swimming pool and The Puzzling Place will keep little ones entertained and are perfect rainy-day activities. Here, you can also enjoy a night at the Theatre by the Lake, or board a boat on Derwentwater and explore the lakeside villages and viewpoints.
Make your way inside via the back of the cottage and find yourself in the stylish kitchen/diner. With a sleek, contemporary feel, the kitchen has a fan oven, gas hobs, built-in fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Enjoy sociable meals at the table, which comfortably seats four but can extend to seat all six guests. After dinner, the lounge is the perfect place to curl up on the sofa or armchair, and the wood burner will keep you toasty before bed. Upstairs, three bedrooms are decorated in relaxing tones and have sloping ceilings with exposed beams. The first double enjoys views over Braithwaite towards majestic fells; the second double has a pretty, ornamental fireplace and lovely views; the sweet twin bedroom is ideal for children. The bedrooms share the family bathroom with a shower over jacuzzi bath and a WC.
There is parking for one car on the road at the side of the house. For additional cars, there is on-street parking in the village. Guests are asked not to park in the side lane at any time.
