Perfectly positioned for those looking to explore the vibrant town of Keswick and its surroundings, this bright home welcomes you back after adventures with style and charm. Relax and unwind both inside and out and enjoy time together.

Just 1.5 miles from the heart of Keswick, stroll into the town and find plenty to keep you entertained. After whetting your appetite at one of many eateries, visit the attractions, swim in the pool, take little ones to play in Fitz Park or take to the water and board a boat across Derwentwater. If you fancy making a splash, hire your own boats and paddle the day away. 3 miles away is the Castlerigg Stone Circle where you can take in the views from this mysterious location. After days out, enjoy a night off from the kitchen and visit one of Portinscale’s local pubs where you can savour a cold drink.

This abode sits over one level though is located on a slope, consequently, the front door is accessed via steps with a handrail, or you can take the alternative path without steps. Head inside the glass porch where you can leave boots and outerwear fresh from adventures. The hallway has a grandfather clock and monk’s bench and leads to all the rooms in the house. On arrival, make your way into the lounge/diner where you can relax and admire views through the large windows. Take a seat in front of the TV/DVD or sit with a book. There is a handy desk for doing work and you can access the garden from the area near the dining table. Before you serve up at the table, spend time cooking in the bright, contemporary kitchen with built-in fan oven, gas hobs, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. While the tumble drier resides in the cupboard in the hallway. The breakfast bar is a great spot to gather with a cup of tea and the room boasts lovely, verdant views. Before heading to bed, enjoy a shower in the family shower room with WC or a soak in the tub in the family bathroom with WC. Rest your head in one of our three lovely bedrooms, The twin room is a lovely space in which to drift off and has plenty of books to help you doze. With a lovely bay window, the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed which can be made up as twin beds if requested at time of booking. Finally, the double bedroom is decorated in tranquil tones to help you enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.

Take a drink outside to the balcony, reached from the lounge, and enjoy basking in the fresh air. Descend the stone stairs from here to access the enclosed garden which is set over different levels so please take care. Enjoy dining alfresco and letting little ones play to their heart’s content. There is a sloping front garden where you can also spend time in the sun, and bike storage is available in the garage. If you want to make your way into the back garden from the front of the house, take the steps from the patio (with handrail) or the steep path around the side of the cottage. Fabulous place, wonderful views and really spacious & well equipped. Yes it's a dated property but it's well presented, clean and really warm! Most importantly the beds are comfy and it's incredibly quiet.

A lovely house in a fantastic location. It was warm, cosy and well equipped - it had everything we needed for a family getaway. The views are incredible. There is so much to do from the doorstep. We didn't move the car for the first few days.

Excellent location with beautiful views .If that is what you want from a holiday then this ticks the boxes .If you can see around the fact that it is a 1950s bungalow with lots of improvements made but the decor is dated you will have a great time

A well equipped cottage in an amazing location with stunning views. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space for 4 adults. Close to Keswick (15-20 minute walk) with lots of things to do there and all required amenities. A couple of marinas near by gave good access to the lake and water bases activities.
