Third or fourth stay at The Annexe in the quieter southern part of the Lakes. Good access to Wasdale up the west coast or to the central Lakes via Coniston or Windermere. Ulverston is underrated but it has a historic town centre, great walks to the lighthouse and along the canal and a Booths supermarket.

This place has a lovely view from the living room and from the balcony. Short and long walks can start directly from the cottage or further away in the national park. Idealy place to wind down too.

Lovely holiday accomodation. Beautiful views , lots of things to do. The information leaflets and maps are fantastic. We recommend getting the train as the views around the coast and Cumbrian mountains are so picturesque. We would definitely come again.

The general condition of property was great, albeit a bit dated. However the cutlery was no longer fit for purpose. I had to search through all of it to find the one spoon that didn't taste of tarnish/metal. Having said this, I would recommend the property to friends and family.

Second stay at the Annexe & loved it as much as the first! A very comfy home from home. The views are stunning and watching the birds in the garden was a favourite pastime, even saw a greater spotted woodpecker & numerous bats. Lots & lots of local information on walks and things to do in the area which is a huge bonus. The lack of WiFi resulted inRead more a more relaxed week away disconnected from the world. Also there are two excellent and friendly pubs in walking distance. We will book again. Hide
