With a soft brown leather sofa and large snuggler chair arranged around an open fire, settle down for cosy evenings in after a busy day out, glass of wine in hand and film on the Smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with a built-in fan oven, gas hobs, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. The table seats four so make sure mealtimes are sociable affairs. Completing the ground floor is the back porch, leading off the kitchen and with more room for muddy boots. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are pleasantly furnished with ample storage. The master king-size bedroom has views over the stream and woodland, and the twin room has views over the village. Completing the accommodation, the light, spacious bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Outside to the rear, there is a narrow backyard with a bistro table and four chairs, perfect for al fresco dining morning, noon and night. Take your morning coffee outside and wake up listening to the birdlife and nearby stream.

Wonderful cottage, very well equipped and comfortable. We loved the stream at the front of the house. Brilliant location for getting to walks, and great pubs in the village. We ended up parking at the church which worked well, as the parking space was a bit tight.

This was our 5th stay here as we love it. Location is perfect above a babbling beck in the heart of Braithwaite. Lovely, comfortable home from home with plenty of walks nearby. Cottage is very well equipped and was lovely and warm. I'm sure we'll return. Very close to Keswick too.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage in a lovely setting and very conveniently located for the roads. The bathroom was really well heated and doubled as an excellent drying room for our kit, and the lovely set of Wainwright's Pictorial Guides gave us lots of insight into the fells we were walking on. Village shop is good and convenient. We opted to parRead morek at the church after the first day as the allocated parking is awkward for large vehicles (we came in a family estate).
