From here you can head upstairs to the open-plan living space which is flooded with light thanks to large skylights. To the other side is a contemporary studio style kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and microwave, along with a breakfast bar and plenty of worktop space. Finally, a dining table for four completes this versatile room. Two bedrooms can be located on the lower ground floor of the property, down the stairs from the initial utility room. The first of these is a sunny double bedroom with benefits from French doors leading out onto the patio and a TV, whilst a second bedroom has twin beds but can be made as a King on request. Best Christmas for years in Goosebarn, lovely place. Everything you need for a relaxing break from the norm at Christmas. Christmas decs too. Our Poppy (cocker spaniel) absolutely loved the meadows she could run and play to her hearts content. Easy to get to the beaches for Christmas walks, St Bees was great. Keswick is a beautiful place to spend aRead more couple of hours with lovely walks by the lake too, only about a half hour drive away. Would definitely recommend this place at anytime of the year. Barn was perfect, made very welcome and delicious homemade treats left for us, along with essentials. Beautiful part of the country, but you really don't have to set foot out of the gate to have a wonderful stay!

We received a very warm welcome, from Mike and Vicki, the house was spotless and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. We both enjoyed the welcome pack and my husband particularly liked the biscuits. The dog paddock was a godsend to our dogs who enjoyed running around it and exploring the scents in the fields. What a lovely place to stay! The cottage was cosy and warm. We were especially pleased with the refreshments and freshly baked biscuits on our arrival. Having the fields to ourselves was great to take the dog out first thing. The owners were friendly and gave us some really useful information about local places to visit. Would love to come again.
