Spend an afternoon browsing the shops, or visit the swimming pool, climbing walls and crazy golf which provide fun for all the family. Known as the outdoor capital of the Lakes, Keswick is home to lots of adventure activity providers which offer sailing, mountain biking, kayaking and ghyll scrambling. Keen walkers and hikers can tick off a few Wainwrights and tackle Skiddaw and Blencathra, both within 7 miles. Explore the lovely gardens and parkland at Mirehouse and Gardens, 4.5 miles, whilst Wordsworth House, 13 miles, offers the chance for all ages to experience life in the 1770s. Travel 25 miles to The Solway Coast for a picnic on the beach and a seaside stroll.

Enter via a glass sliding door into a spacious porch with plenty of space for boots and coats and continue to the main hallway. Bathed in light from an enormous bay window, the living room has beautiful views of mountain tops, surrounding fields and woodland. Three comfortable sofas are arranged around a wood burner-effect gas fire, perfect for chilly evenings relaxing with a movie on the Sky TV. Gather everyone for formal meals in the dining room, where French doors open to the rear patio. The L-shaped kitchen is equipped with five gas hobs, a double fan oven, a large integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine – so don't forget to bring some coffee pods! The corner table is a lovely place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee while watching the visiting birdlife. There's a WC and further storage for boots and coats in a large, walk-in cupboard. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed, two large built-in wardrobes and an en-suite shower room. The double bedroom has a chest of drawers and hanging hooks for storage, while the twin bedroom can be made up as a super-king-size on request. The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower with a mixer shower and a drencher head for massaging away tired fell-walking muscles.
Outside, the rear garden has a patio and raised, perfect for picnics, ball games and making the most of the morning sunshine. A table and chairs allow for al fresco dining, sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the stunning mountain views as the sun sets. To the front, there is a lovely tiered garden with mature plants and shrubs. There is also off-road parking.
