Built in 1849, this welcoming property sits in a great spot and is the perfect base from which to explore Keswick and Derwentwater. Sleeping six guests, it’s great for reuniting with friends and family.

Located just off the centre of Keswick, dine out, cruise Derwentwater and stay entertained without jumping in the car. If little ones are holidaying with you, visit Puzzling Place, swim in the local pool or enjoy some fresh air and playtime in Fitz Park. Enjoy a family-friendly walk up Catbells (5 miles) or to Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles), both of which boast panoramic views to reward your climb. Pay Lodore Falls (3 miles) a visit and climb up to Surprise View. Treat yourselves to a night off and dine out before booking a film at the cinema at the end of your road or watching a show at Theatre by the Lake (0.5 miles).

Step inside via the porch and head through into the dining room. Here, a table has room for you all to dine together, and there are shelves stocked with books on the local area so you can plan your adventures. The lounge is a lovely spot to relax in front of the Smart TV as you stay warm by the wood burner. Sit on the sofa and make use of the docking station to listen to your favourite tunes. Heading through to the stylish kitchen to find all you need to cook a meal. This room is equipped with a built-in fan oven, four gas hobs, dishwasher and microwave, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine. There is a handy utility area beyond the kitchen with a washer/dryer. This leads to a shower room with WC. When it’s time to rest your heads, climb stairs to the first floor where you will find the three bedrooms. On your way up, find another shower room with WC on the landing with contemporary style and a large, walk-in shower. Head up to the next landing where the master king-size room has an ornamental fireplace and lots of storage. The double bedroom also has an ornamental fireplace and the final bedroom is a snug twin with views across to Skiddaw.

Take a seat at the front of the property and enjoy a morning cup of tea or head to the enclosed patio area to the rear of the cottage. Here, there is a picnic bench where you can enjoy a drink and a treat. On street parking can be found near the cottage.

It was a very nice touch to decorate for Christmas. The house was well equipped, and cosy. A perfect location for central Keswick.

It was a lovely cottage and in a great location. The door locks make it very easy for little people(we had a 3 year old with us) to lock themselves in a room!

The cottage is lovely, in a great location to explore Keswick but just at the edge of the town centre to avoid issues with car parking. Filled with charm and with all the equipment one could wish for. We were a group of five, including two elderly and a toddler, and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

The property is in a perfect location for access to the town and lake within a matter of minutes. The property is comfortable and very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and good quality mattresses. Parking as always can be difficult in Keswick but normally a few trips around the side streets you can find a space. Lovely cottage but needs a few jobs doing to it re: the plumbing. Other than that very comfy and really well located. Would recommend if the jobs were done.
