Just a short distance from bustling Keswick (4 miles) with its museums, tourist attractions and popular Theatre by the Lake, Threlkeld is a quiet Lake District village in the heart of this national park. Discover boat cruises and water sports on the area’s namesake lakes, with Ullswater (10 miles), Thirlmere (6 miles) and Derwentwater (4.5 miles) never far from home. Set off from your doorstep to summit the fells of Blencathra (3 miles) or Skiddaw (8.5 miles), or perhaps pay a visit to the majestic landscapes of the Whinlatter Forest Park (8.5 miles). Further afield you’ll discover the towns of Penrith (13.5 miles) and Carlisle (24 miles), both truly worth a day out in the car.

Decorated with traditional decor and antique furniture throughout, this property features a farmhouse style with design elements like low ceilings and authentic wooden beams adding to its charm. Step inside and discover a WC right off the main hallway, along with plenty of space for coats and boots. From the hallway, you can access the cosy sitting room or open-plan kitchen-come-dining room. The kitchen is a spacious room with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a sturdy wooden breakfast table for enjoying meals as a family. The lounge is kept warm and ambient by a traditional open fire. Switch on the TV/DVD or simply browse the wide array of books and games left out for you to use. Venture up to the first floor to find three cosy bedrooms. To the front of the house, a twin bedroom presents glorious views to wake up to each morning. A further double bedroom presents garden views and the stunning Blencathra in the distance, whilst a bunk bedroom offers a great space for children to call their own. Completing the property is a contemporary bathroom with WC, shower and bath.

The pretty, enclosed garden has been lovingly tended to create an oasis of calm in this beautiful location. Listen to the water flow past in the nearby beck and the gentle sound of birdsong whilst unwinding on the furnished patio. Finally, a private garage just off the kitchen ensures off-road parking for cars and a secure place to store bikes.
