Set in the thriving town of Keswick, this pretty first and second-storey apartment offers a welcoming and stylish base from which to explore this stunning part of the Lake District.

The apartment is perfect for exploring the lively town of Keswick, with a fantastic range of restaurants, pubs, cafes and independent shops within easy reach. Local attractions in the town include the Theatre by the Lake, the Alhambra Cinema, Puzzling Place, Derwent Pencil Museum, Hope Park and Keswick Adventure Centre, with the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle and Keswick Climbing Wall just outside the town. Local activities include rock climbing, hiking, and ghyll scrambling. At Whinlatter Forest Park (4.5 miles) you can hire mountain bikes and go exploring, or you can take a cruise from Keswick across Derwentwater, with stops at Ashness Gate, Lodore and Hawes End. Walkers can attempt Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw or Causey Pike (all within 6 miles).

Entering the property via a private entrance hall, stairs lead you up to the first floor where you will find the spacious and welcoming lounge/diner. This is a lovely space to relax in at the end of a fabulous day: the lounge features comfortable seating, an electric fire, Smart TV, DVD, CD and Bluetooth speaker. The dining area is ideal for sharing a favourite family meal which you can enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. This bright and friendly room features an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and a handy breakfast bar. The washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer can be found in the nearby utility room. The first floor also has the main family bathroom, with a bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Heading up to the second floor via a steep staircase you will find three light and tastefully decorated bedrooms. The first bedroom features a double bed and plenty of storage space; there’s also a charming single room and a pretty twin room which has an en-suite shower room complete with a shower and a WC. Please note the shower room can also be accessed via the landing.

Stepping outside, the private courtyard to the front of the house makes a delightful sport for a coffee in the morning as you plan the day. You will also have access to a shared drying area at the end of the terrace. There’s an allocated parking space to the back of the property, with further on-street parking available along Stanger Street.

Wonderful cottage right in the heart of Keswick with the bonus of a parking space at the back. Well furnished with lovely touches like games and books, very comfortable with an amazing bath tub! There is a great park just up the road and bus stops, shops and the lake just down the road, we really enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back.

Great place to stay. Very close to the centre of Keswick, only a couple of minutes walk to shops and the Borrowdale bus. The parking spot is a positive as there are only occasional spots on the road itself. The apartment is well looked after and there is everything that you need. We would definitely stay there again

Fabulous. This is a real gem, couldnt be a better location for Keswick town. The cottage was extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and very very comfortable. We come to Keswick a couple of times a year as we love it, so would definitely like to stay there again

a really comfortable location close to town centre, but quiet street parking helpful across three floors- so need to be happy to get up steep steps from first to second floor

Sweetpool was perfect for our holiday. It was clean, well equipped and very cosy. The location couldnt have been better, literally 5 minutes walk from shops,restaurants,cafes etc

Good flat overall in central location. Very steep stairs to bedrooms on top floor. Appreciated the parking space to the rear of the building. Enjoyed our stay and the facilities in the apartment.

Centrally based, this lovely apartment is in an ideal location with the added advantage of a parking space for one car. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well maintained with plenty of space for 5 adults not to get under each others feet!! The only slight disadvantage is the 2 sets of steep stairs which wouldnt suit anyone with mobility issueRead mores. Our second visit and hope to be back soon after having a lovely holiday.!!! Hide

The cottage overall was fine for my group but the steep stairs would prevent me recommending it to anyone who was not very fit. In fact one of my group already found it a strain and would not rent it again.

We had a wonderful time at Sweetpool. The location was perfect, its really well equipped- it has everything that you could think of, it even has a dishwasher! It is such a lovely, cosy and modern home from home. Wed love to book again!

A very comfortable 2-storey flat set in a very central location. There are 2 great supermarkets in less than 5 minutes walk and the town centre, pubs and restaurants are all on your doorstep. Yet the road is quiet and peaceful. The property is cosy and welcoming with 2 good settees in the spacious lounge/diner, a smart TV, a well-equipped kitchen wRead moreith breakfast bar and decent showers in the modern bathrooms. The house was perfect. Beds very comfortable. Amazing location. Had everything we could have needed in a holiday home. A few reviews mentioned steepness of stairs. My 87 older stayed with us and she managed no problem. Would definitely book this house again.

The three of us enjoyed a comfortable stay at Sweetpool. We used the top floor shower and toilet as an en-suite facility for the twin room. The family bathroom has a nice large bath however we never used it as the shower was more than adequate for our needs.
