This gorgeous holiday home is perfectly placed for guests who want to explore the heart of Cumbria. Stroll around pretty Grasmere village (0.5 miles) and browse interesting gift shops, or linger in welcoming cafes after a hike on the hilltops with your hound – Loughrigg (5 miles) and Easedale Tarn (2.5 miles) offer rewarding views. Be inspired to write, craft, or paint, after a trip to Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top farmhouse (10 miles). Enjoy a picnic at Wordsworth’s favourite picnic area – Rydal Water (4 miles); here you can visit landmarks connected to the poet at Rydal Mount (3.5 miles) and Dora’s Field. And enjoy a memorable sunset cruise on Lake Windermere (5.5 miles) before returning to your cosy cottage.

Store coats and boots inside the ground floor entrance before heading upstairs to your first-floor holiday property where you’re greeted with colourful contemporary style, and welcome packs for you and your best friend. Cook a special meal for your partner in the well-equipped kitchen and dining area which has every appliance and gadget you need to follow the most impressive of recipes, including a range cooker with two electric ovens, a grill, gas and ceramic hobs, fridge/freezer, and microwave. Enjoy your delicious home-cooked feast together before retreating to the living room and relaxing after your day out by the lakes. Enjoy the warmth from the wood burner and films on the Smart HD TV with Sky Q. Settle in for a great night’s sleep in this cosy retreat with restful decor and the comfort of a super-king-sized bed, and the bedroom’s own TV with Sky Q. Refresh in the shower room before heading out for a new day of adventures in Cumbria.

Outside, there’s an enclosed courtyard garden with a crazy-paving patio, long garden benches, and a table for those morning coffees. Off-road parking is available for two cars. For guest use only, there is an Easee One, Type 2 untethered 7KW electric vehicle charger. There is no charge for using this, but you will need to provide your own charging lead compatible with a type 2 charging socket. There are a pub, shop, and eateries within half a mile of the property

We absolutely loved the property it is well placed and within easy access of Grasmere. The owners have made the property very welcoming and homely the provision of a welcome back for humans and doggy companions was very much appreciated. After day two of our holiday this year we had decided we wanted to book again for next year. Probably the best URead moreK holiday I have been on, already planning my walks for next year. Hide

Lovely property in an excellent location. Very well equipped, a very generous welcome hamper provided and superb views from the rear of the property. A few minutes walk into Grasmere centre with great selection of cafes and restaurants. Fantastic walks from the doorstep. Had an enjoyable winter break.

This cottage is superb! Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Probably the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in! We loved playing Scrabble every evening in front of the log fire. A truly great place to stay, its extremely comfortable and very well equipped and a short walk from the heart of Grasmere, great walks for the dog and plenty of dog friendly places to eat and shop

A lovely well equipped and comfortable upstairs flat with very generous welcome packs. Beautiful views at the back and very convenient for local facilities. We never used the garden because the weather wasnt great and because it couldnt be accessed directly from the flat.

Five star accommodation, has everything you could need for a perfect stay including parking. Beautifully decorated very comfortable. Fabulous welcome pack for us and a welcome pack for our dog. Would definitely stay again.
