Half a mile from the edge of Derwentwater, there are so many places to explore close to home. Enjoy a gentle walk up Catbells (1 mile) for panoramic views, and if you fancy continuing across the fell tops, head on to Maiden Moor (3 miles), High Spy (3.5 miles), and Dale Head (5 miles). Reward the day’s efforts with a meal at the local inn, just half a mile from home so you can walk there and back and enjoy a tipple. Board a boat from the local launch and journey across to Keswick (3.5 miles by road), the Adventure Capital of England, where you can visit the cinema or Theatre by the Lake.

Great for returning home from exploring, the hallway leads to a boot room which has plenty of space for you to hang coats and leave boots. Also leading off the hallway is a handy cloakroom and a games room complete with table football, piano and space to tackle a puzzle. A door leads to the kitchen/diner and the lounge. Spacious, sleek and flooded with natural light from the sliding patio door, find an electric range-style oven with an induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and a dishwasher. There is also a coffee machine to help kick start your early mornings. Featuring a Smart TV, watch your favourite programme or just admire the views. Providing extra space and handy appliances, the utility room houses a second large fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge boasts mountain views through the sliding patio door and a wood burner to keep you warm. Two spacious twin bedrooms share the family bathroom with WC which has a bath and a separate shower.

At the front of the home is a lovely garden and patio where you can sit with a tipple and a treat. Keep your eyes peeled for fantastic birdlife and admire the magnificent views. There is parking for three cars and garage storage for bikes should you be exploring on two wheels.

Well maintained, well equipped and very comfortable. A very well thought through modernisation of property taking advantage of wonderful views from sitting room and kitchen / diner. Beautiful house with stunning views. Kitchen very well equipped, we had everything we needed to make a Christmas dinner for the whole family. Also very pleasantly surprised that apart from the high chair and the cot that are mentioned in the description, there was also a cupboard full of toys, puzzles and books for my two year old son. We couldnt have imagined a better holiday and are grateful to the owners letting us experience a week of paradise in this beautiful home! Fantastic house in a great location, the views from the property are incredible! The house had everything we needed and loved the fact there were loads of walks on the doorstep and easy to get the boat across to Keswick! Our second time of staying and sure well be back!

Fulwith is everything previously mentioned in reviews. A couple of minor issues but the space, facilities, location and views more than make up for it. Having the utility room with an extra fridge is such a bonus. We were blessed with mostly beautiful weather - always a bonus in the Lakes. We did have to buy bird food but it was well worth it. Fulwith is set in an idyllic location with views to die for. The cottage is really well equipped and is a very welcoming, comfortable, cosy home. Plenty of walks from the doorstep and nicely off the beaten track so as not to be surrounded by hoards of people. This is the best location imaginable! Views from the patio and all rhe windows are spectacular. Walks in any direction are very rewarding. The house is in pristine condition and beautifully equipped.
