The location of the cottage was perfect. The view from the main bedroom was astonishingly beautiful. The cottage met all the basics in terms of the kitchen equipments and warm place to be. Although the cottage was slightly tired and needed a deep cleaning and redecorating. The kitchen and bathroom are desperately so.

Our 3rd time staying at this property, and while weve always agreed with other reviews its in need of renovation, the location is so beautiful and perfect for walks we didnt mind as it was comfortable and basic. But this time it the cottage was dirty, cobwebs everywhere, cupboards a mess and hadnt been properly vacuumed. No matches for the fire andRead more woodburner needed attention, and it just felt like property has not been cared for, which is a shame. Hide

The cottage was reasonably clean and comfortable but as others have noticed the decor and furnishings are outdated. However, the view was lovely and the position excellent for walkers

Really enjoyed our stay, nice walk down to the pub and village. Lovely views and walks from the cottage. Great for exploring the North East of the Lake District and not too far to travel to places like Keswick, Ambleside or Coniston.

Superb location, awesome views. A bit outdated in the kitchen and bathroom but I would book again. Clean but a few aspects not perfect such as the cutlery tray being unclean, small things but important and the shower being poor. Great walks from the door, local good pub and good shops in a he village. Ill definitely tlreturn.

Location is superb and the house was cosy and warm even before lighting the log burner. Access would be difficult for older less able folk and car parking a little difficult . Adequate facilities and value for money .

The magic of the mountains was so apparent in this cozy cottage, we will be returning! Although the road up to the house could be better maintained, the route was safe and easy.
