The bustling town of Keswick (1.5 miles) has a wealth of pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops and popular attractions including Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place, the Theatre by the Lake, the Alhambra Cinema and Keswick Adventure Centre. Just outside the town are the Keswick Climbing Wall and the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle (both 4 miles).
