Other local attractions include the famous Lakeland Motor Museum (2 miles), Fell Foot (4.5 miles) and the Lakes Aquarium in Newby Bridge (4 miles). Coniston Water is to the north (8 miles) and there are some wonderful woodland and lakeside walks to enjoy, with Rusland Moss and Gummer’s How nearby (both within 5 miles). To the south, the Furness peninsula is home to the South Lakes Safari Zoo (9.5 miles) and the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Stan Laurel’s home town of Ulverston (6 miles).

Finally, the second floor houses the stylish shower room complete with a shower cubicle and WC – this room is set in the eaves of the house, with a low sloping ceiling and a skylight.
