Lovely house and equipped to a very high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Given some earlier reviews we were worried about the hill but this posed no problem. Plenty of walks straight from the doorstep and only 15 mins walk into the centre of Keswick so was good not to have to take the car out. Only downside is the road it stands on can be buRead moresy at weekends and commuter time but that would not stop me recommending a stay here and I would come back. . Hide

Lovely little cottage with nice modern fittings. It is in a great spot for both walking into Keswick (about 20-25 mins down the railway path) and catching the bus (bus stop is right outside the house). Highly recommend bringing your own tea bags (not included) and toilet rolls as we were only left half a roll to cover 4 days!

Lovely king sized beds, very comfy so slept well. Good shower A nice house. Within easy walking distance of Castlerigg Stone Circle. The walk into town is good along the old railway, some guests may want to take a bus back home. Well equipped kitchen but no bread knifes. TV wasn't easy to use. We liked the fact that it was slightly out of town, and there is a bus stop just outside the property for anyone who may be put off by the gentle climb to the property on return from the town centre. Would be very happy to stay again.

We enjoyed a week at Keswick House over Christmas. The house was very clean & comfortable with a home from home feel. Lovely big bath, ideal after some fell running during the day. Everything we needed was there with well equipped kitchen for our Christmas lunch.
