The property is just a mile from the quaint village of Ennerdale Bridge which has a choice of friendly pubs, shops and cafes, with the banks of Ennerdale Water just a mile further. Also within easy reach are Loweswater, Wastwater and Crummock Water (all within 10 miles). Local landmarks and attractions include the Blakeley Raise Stone Circle, Longlands Lake and the town of Cleator Moor (all within 4 miles). Heading west, the St Bees Head Heritage Coast (10 miles) is home to a major RSPB reserve with chances to spot guillemots and razorbills.
