This is a fantastic area to discover by foot, bike or car, with Bassenthwaite Lake, Derwentwater, Skiddaw, Brundholme Wood and Latrigg all within 10 miles. Threlkeld (1 mile) is home to the Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum, or you can discover the Theatre by the Lake, Derwent Pencil Museum and the Puzzling Place in Keswick (4.5 miles).
