Nearby Keswick (4.5 miles) is popular with water sports fans and has a host of attractions including Keswick Adventure Centre, Derwent Pencil Museum and the Theatre by the Lake at the head of Derwentwater. Also nearby are the Lakes Distillery, Lake District Wildlife Centre and Mirehouse and Gardens on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake (all within 13 miles).
