This fully refurbished bungalow offers a bright, cosy base in a quiet neighbourhood with views across to Skiddaw. Less than a mile walk from Derwentwater and Keswick town centre, with private parking and garden.

Attractive bungalow with plenty to do on your doorstep, it is very easy to leave the car and head out on foot. The pretty market town of Keswick is a great base to explore from, surrounded by the mountains of Skiddaw (5 miles) and Blencathra (6 miles), and located between Derwentwater (2 miles) and Bassenthwaite (7 miles). Take a boat cruise on Derwentwater and hop on and off at the eight jetties dotted around the lake. Conquer the stunning Catbells, popular with walkers of all ages and abilities, or for something more challenging, Skiddaw is a slightly longer, higher walk at over 3,000 feet. Visit Theatre by the Lake to take in a show and stop off at Crow Park opposite, where you can get 360-degree views of the mountains along with stunning views down the lake towards the exceptionally beautiful Borrowdale valley.

Enter the property beneath the covered porch and step into the hallway where there is space to hang your coats and kick off your muddy boots. The bungalow has a contemporary feel throughout and offers bright and cosy accommodation. Off the hallway you will find an attractive double bedroom with views across to Skiddaw. The lounge is next door with crackling wood burner and comfortable sofas to relax in while watching a movie on the Smart TV. There is a dining area within the lounge where you can sit down and make plans for the day ahead over dinner. There is also direct access from the lounge out onto the garden. Across the hallway you will find the shower room, it has an LED mirror and shaving charger, rainfall shower and WC. At the end of the hallway you will find the second bedroom which is a spacious king-size with ample storage and dressing table. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and slimline dishwasher.

The garden offers a private space with patio and is a lovely spot to sit out on a warm day whilst enjoying a coffee or glass of wine. There is private parking for two cars on the drive next to the property and there is additional unrestricted street parking.

On entering the bungalow we saw a note about the heating. Temperature set at 20 degrees centigrade. Controlled remotely, switched on from 6.30am - 10am and 3.30 - 10pm. This wasnt in the description on holiday cottages and if it had been we would never have booked it. They said they would leave the heating on from 6.30am - 10pm This was better but Read morestill left us with no control. Note there isnt a wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom. We had a comfortable and cosy stay at Fold End, it is very clean and modern with ample parking. The cottage is within easy walking distance to the shops, pubs and all the amenities in Keswick. Great little cottage.

We had a lovely stay, ideal location as quiet but close to the town and parking wasn't an issue. It would be snug with 4 but not unbearable. Kitchen well equipped, managed to cook a Christmas dinner! A couple of toilet rolls were provided but would recommend bring your own as quite poor quality. A really nice cottage in a quiet residential area but within a 10 min walk into the center of Keswick. It has everything you need for self-catering, a very enjoyable kitchen to cook in. It is very nicely decorated, welcoming and comfortable. We would definitely stay again when we come to the Lakes.

The cottage was clean and well stocked. A good location for walking into Keswick. However, it is very small and probably more suited for 2 people. Would have liked some clothes washing facilities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely bungalow especially where it is situated, an easy walk into town, Fitz Park and Lakeside. The views out of the front and as you leave the property are just fantastic. A very clean and neat property. We managed with the kitchen equipment provided but like many holiday lets there was no small saucepan for sauces or gravy. It is reasonably comfortable and we liked the location as we could walk into town from the property.

Had a very lovely week at Fold End, the bungalow is very clean and comfy and a great location. Very quiet street, with own parking too! The bungalow was lovely and warm and very well equipped. Only a short walk into Keswick and we did lots of walks from the front door, didnt move the car all week. Wed love to come back again soon!

The cottage was one of the best weve stayed in. Clean, modern, and excellent facilities. The wood burner was particularly appreciated given we visited in January. The rain shower was also great. We loved the location. Only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick yet so peaceful, and a driveway too. Wed definitely stay there again.

A beautiful immaculate clean cottage the cleanest Ive ever stayed at. Brilliant location to walk into Keswick and lovely Fritz park across the rd The only downside was no washing Machine and clothes airer , as it rained everyday whilst we were there ( didnt spoil our holiday ) we had nowhere to hang clothes to dry them or wash the muddy ones.

A lovely warm, cozy and clean bungalow in a quiet residential area. A short walk into town, about 10 minutes to the centre. Just two of us staying and plenty of equipment for us. Space would be tight with four adults. The shower works really well, probably the best weve had in a rental.
