This cottage was like a home from home and is dog friendly too. The village of Gosforth has 4 pubs 3 of which serving high quality food. We also dined at the local Italian, this, too, is dog friendly. I would recommend this cottage and its location if you're looking for an escape with everything at your fingertips.

Lovely house and plenty room but a little old. Location was nice for visiting the western part of the Lake District. The house itself has a comforable living room and a nice garden. There is however no downstairs toilet and some basic necessities were missing and some parts were in need of some updates, as the upstairs windows would not open but onRead moree. Hide

The house has a lovely feel to it. Its comfortable and safe with a lovely back garden. Very close to local amenities and a short drive to the beach. Could not get any of the cars on the drive as too narrow. We had a lovely stay and would definitely book it again.

Nice, comfortable cottage with good outdoor space in a lovely village. Driveway is narrow, difficult to park even 2 small cars, however, it is possible to park on the road outside (no pavement). Be aware that getting to a lot of places in the Lake District is a long drive from Gosforth.

We loved our stay at Slater Croft a real home from home. Lovely garden with seating and bbq available with late afternoon sun. The location was great for the coast as well as the lakes. Village has a great pub, shop and bakery. We would definitely return.

As reviewed above . I have used sallys cottages for over on and off 10 years now and would say this is a perfect location but internal work needs to be improved to dishwasher and bedroom carpets. Also cleanliness of kitchen. As a note check fridge as water was on the floor form left side of fridge.
