This area offers a great base to explore the Lakes and fells either on foot, bike, by car or bus. Castlerigg Stone Circle is less than 2 miles away dating back to the Neolithic era. Derwentwater is south of town, less than 1 mile away, here you will find eight jetties where you can hop on and off the boat to explore. Visit Theatre by the Lake take in a show and visit Crow Park which is opposite, you can get 360 degree views of the mountains along with stunning views down the lake towards the exceptionally beautiful Borrowdale valley.
As you enter the property you will find yourself in the hallway where there is space to hang your coats and kick off your muddy boots. Off the hallway is the cosy lounge with wood burner and comfortable seating to relax and watch a good movie. Next door there is a formal dining room with a stunning feature fireplace, the kitchen leads off from the dining room it is well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave . You can access the enclosed garden from the kitchen through a handy porch. Head back to the hallway, and up to the first floor, there is a family bathroom located mid landing, it has a bath, separate shower and WC.
