Excellent value for money, would recommend! Short distance from the South Lake District. The baker across the street and the local pub are gone. Small shopping can be done in Ulverston and Kendal is 25min away for everything else. The top staircase and bed in the master bedroom are for short people. The house is lovely and very quirky with lots of nice features and decor. The stairs are narrow and steep but have good handrails and our parents in their 70s had no issues. If you are taking a large dog a crate is a good idea to save them going up and down stairs a lot. Plenty of room in the kitchen for a large crate. The bakery, fish and chip andRead more ice cream shops are all excellent. Hide

A nice cottage good value for money , clean and tidy . The three flights of windy could prove difficult for some people , at least the back door went straight into the kitchen on the bottom level , good for our dogs . The neighbour was not particularly friendly . The chip shop round the corner was excellent but only opens form 16.30 until 19.00 . Beautiful cottage in perfect location for exploring. Sally's Cottages provided quick professional service when we had an issue with a door lock. Highly recommended.

Lymm Cottae is a warm, comfy and nicely decorated cottage let down little by the poor lighting in the lounge. A good place to explore the southern lakes. Fantastic bakery just round the corner from the cottage and good food shopping in Ulverston.

Lymm Cottage was really comfortable and cosy. It felt very warm, homely and characterful. Kitchen utensils were plentiful and the cooker top was easy to use. The stairs felt a little precarious, but understandable in a character terraced cottage. There wasn't a huge amount of facilities in the local area, however everything was only a short drive aRead moreway. It was lovely to have so much beautiful scenery and things to see, along our journeys around the Lakes. Really enjoyed our stay at Lymm Cottage. Hide

Absolutely lovely property to stay in. Clean and fresh, decorated beautifully. Only a short drive to windermere and close to the steam train which was a lovely day out. Beds were comfortable, there were plenty of utensils/pots pans etc in kitchen. The cottage feels really homely and is great for the price you pay! It was a really unique and quirky cottage, the kitchen I especially, where enjoyed cooking there. The beds were especially comfortable and having two bathrooms was extra convenient. Great location too, very quiet street but with several shops and amenities in the village including a well-stocked butchers shop, Ulverston was a short 5 minute drive aRead moreway. Easy access to the lakes by car or by bus, I hope to be back again. Hide

Echo the comments of previous guests. Lovely cottage but was a real shame that the garden had been left to overgrown as would have been nice to enjoy it with the good weather in the evenings.

Nice cosy cottage. The kitchen was very well appointed, loads of utensils and equipment. Nothing happening in Greenodd (the chippy is really nice though) itself but plenty of bars, restaurants and shops a few minutes away in Ulverstsone. Bathrooms and bedrooms nice and clean.
