Walkers will find Little Mell less than 2 miles away, Hellvelyn and Place Fell within 7 miles. Glenridding is just 4 miles away, enjoy a pub lunch and then catch the boat to Pooley Bridge; you can then walk to Howtown, which is just over 2 miles distant. This was one of Wordsworth's favourite walks and offers views of Ullswater and Helvellyn. Enjoy a day at Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens (7 miles) or why not visit Rookery House Activity Centre (3 miles), offering a huge selection of activities including go-karting and paintballing.
