This large manor house is the perfect getaway with everything you need to enjoy an amazing getaway. The property is located only 2 miles away from the only coastal village in the Lake District Ravenglass, where you enjoy waterside wanders, excursions on horseback, and time on the green at the local golf course. Hop on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, otherwise known as the La’al Ratty, and travel 7 miles to Boot. The heart of Wasdale is 11 miles from home and the valley boasts England’s highest mountain and deepest lake where you can jump in for a wild swim. Walking into this substantial Lakeland property you will immediately be struck by the many traditional features being carefully restored by the owners.

Entering the hallway, you will find a spot to hang your coats and boots before walking to your left and you will find yourself in the beautiful kitchen and lounge which is the hub of this manor house and just the spot you will need to relax and unwind. In the kitchen is a dining table and chairs with hanging lights above, creating a homely atmosphere for family meals and a stylish kitchen offers everything you need for your getaway with patio doors leading out to the garden. Heading back along the hall there is a games room with a pool table and armchairs. Before the lounge, we have a ground-floor WC with a utility room. At the end of the hall are the spacious sitting room with two sofas, armchairs a wood burner, a Smart TV and tall windows with original shutters. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the master king-size bedroom plus single with an en-suite bathroom housing a shower over bath and WC. The next is a twin room and then a king-size bedroom with single. There is a family bathroom with shower over bath and WC and finally is the last double bedroom along with a shower room.

The vast private garden space is the selling point of this house with large grounds to enjoy from the kids to you to your four-legged friends. It is a haven for wildlife and biodiversity is a the focus, it offers a place to relax and enjoy the birds and visiting wildlife. The hot tub is just what you need after a day out on the fells along with a lovely patio area with seating and a fire pit.

We enjoyed the rural, secluded location and the house is well equipped inside and out. The hot tub and pool table were a great hit with all three generations. In a great location with lovely walks nearby and easy reach to the lakes, and area, giving a nice respite to the busier places such as Windermere. Amazing house which was perfectly set up and ready for a holiday! The house was absolutely spotless and there was loads of room for a big group of people. The location is perfect for climbing up Scarfell Pike.

Wonderful comfortable home - ideal for families and friends to gather - our host was extremely accommodating- nothing was too much trouble It was ideal with our grown up families and friends and our dog was totally spoilt !!!! We had a fantastic holiday! Beautiful, spacious house with lots of little extra thoughtful details to make it special. Games and books. Comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with the owners. We had a problem with the heating and they sent someone to look at it the same day plus dropped in a heater.
