This elegant property is situated just 3 miles from the pretty market town of Keswick and Derwentwater Lake, with fabulous views. Enjoy kayaking or canoeing on Derwentwater or explore the North Lakes on foot, by car or bus. Keswick has a nice selection of restaurants, friendly pubs and independent shops to explore. The Annual Mountain Festival is held over three days with world-class sports, lots of outdoor activities, talks, films, and live music events which take place beside the lake. You are just 5 miles from Cat Bells and can access Skiddaw, Latrigg, and Carlside fells on foot directly from the front door. Mirehouse and Gardens (2 miles) are well worth a visit on a nice day; you can walk here through the woodland at the back of the house. The mountain bike trails at Whinlatter Forest are under 7 miles away and here you will also find Go Ape, photography courses and a new series of CaniCross races, held in England’s only mountain forest.

As you walk up to the front door of this impressive house, you will be left speechless when you enter the entrance hall. The sweeping curved staircase takes centre stage and you will feel like a character in an Agatha Christie film set. It is furnished in period style, with original 1930s Crittall windows, antique Art Deco furniture and has unique styling throughout. The ground floor boasts a double lounge with a wood burner, TV with Sky TV package and ample seating for the whole party to catch up together. There is a cosy snug with a wood burner – this room offers a great place to sneak away to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet, read a good book, watch the Smart TV or make plans for your stay here. There is an elegant dining room which is ideal to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary and a large kitchen warmed by an AGA with a central island which has a breakfast bar to chat and enjoy a morning coffee. Head up the glamorous staircase to the first floor; here you will find the six bedrooms, all of which are individually styled and have a luxurious boutique hotel feel. There is a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) with en-suite shower room, a further super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) with an en-suite shower room, a king-size bedroom with a private balcony overlooking the fells and an en-suite shower room, a four-poster king-size bed plus another two king-size bedrooms. There is also a separate shower room, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and original 1930s cast iron bath to complete the property.

Outside you will find a spacious terrace with seating for up to 12 guests to eat outside. There are additional outdoor sofas, an outdoor wood burner, a football goal, 4 acres of private land with mature planting, and the garden is fully fenced.
