Situated on a working farm that’s been owned and run by the same family since 1954, this beautiful spot is just a mile from Patterdale and just 2 miles from the bustling village of Glenridding at the foot of the Kirkstone Pass. It is a fantastic starting point for a range of great walks, with local destinations including St Sunday Crag, Dove Crag, Brothers Water and Lanty’s Tarn (all within 6 miles). The magnificent lake of Ullswater is less than 2 miles to the north, providing a fantastic destination for a lakeside picnic, boat hire or for taking a cruise on a steamer. Attractions close to Ullswater include the Aira Force Waterfall (5 miles), Place Fell (1.5 miles) and Dunmallard Hill (10 miles). Heading to the eastern edge of the Lake District you can visit Dalemain Mansion (11 miles) and Lowther Castle (15 miles).
This pretty shepherd’s hut has an open-plan layout. The main living space features a raised double bed, a dining area, Smart TV, and a cute, bijou kitchen which is equipped with all you need to rustle up a romantic dinner, or a picnic before you head out for the day. There’s also a bathroom with a shower and WC off the main living area. French doors look out over the fells and stunning countryside.
Outside the hut, you will find a private hot tub with a seating area overlooking the fells - a fabulous spot to enjoy a coffee and plan the day ahead.
