 Ideally located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, the property enjoys an enviable position on Whitbarrow Village resort with a bar and restaurant on site. Easily accessed, the vibrant market towns of Keswick and Penrith are both within 10 miles of the property and offer independent shops and plenty of places to eat and drink. For lovely days out, visit some of the areas loveliest Lakes including Ullswater, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, all just a short drive away, offering kayaking, boating and steamer ferry rides. For keen cyclists, Whitbarrow Village resort is also located on the National Cycle Network. The iconic fells of Blencathra, Skiddaw and Helvellyn are a short drive, along with other classic hiking routes. A wide variety of tea rooms, pubs and restaurants are close by, along with Basecamp farm shop if you want to stock up on some fresh local produce.

On arrival at the village, enjoy a seamless check in experience with the reception in the former hotel entrance hall, where you will be given the keys to your duplex apartment. Enjoy the complex facilities whilst still having your own private apartment. As you enter the property you will find a spacious hallway where you can drop off your coats and boots after a long walk. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has floor-to-ceiling patio doors which open onto the balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee and admire the views at any time of year. The living space has a sofa, armchair and Freeview TV, a perfect area to relax and watch your favourite show or film each evening. This space also offers a dining table and chairs to enjoy a meal for two. Next to the dining area you will find the well-equipped kitchen, including a double ring hob, fridge, microwave, and grill. Back through the hall and you will find a stylish bathroom with double sink vanity giving you more space in your couple’s retreat. Head up to the first floor to find the master suite, you will be presented with a spacious bedroom with king-size bed, another Freeview TV and built-in storage.
Outside, you can relax on your own private balcony and take in the amazing views over the fells and beyond. Take a stroll around the village and see the facilities on offer including a shared indoor heated swimming pool with gym and sauna. The village also offers an on-site restaurant, bar, and pool table for those nights where you would prefer to just relax around the village.

Good little apartment for 1 or 2. Whitbartow village has swimming pool / putting etc, easy to get to Keswick / hills. The hob is 2 ring, oven is a small counter top one - would be difficult to cook a complicated meal. Cooker and microwave use same plug socket so can only use one at a time. Bed very comfy, if you're into needlework - light is betterRead more in the bedroom. Lounge / kitchen / dining all one room with doors to balcony.
