Located in the secluded village of Ivegill, this charming holiday let offers itself up as an excellent bolthole to explore the local area. With the bustling city of Carlisle (8 miles) you have an opportunity to delve into Cumbrian history, from Carlisle Castle (9.5 miles) to Tully House Museum and Art Gallery (9 miles), or for the foodies amongst you, there’s a wonderful range of bars and restaurants. If it’s rugged coastlines and luscious plains you are after, a day trip to the Solway Coast AONB may be on the cards, 25 miles. The edge of Lake District National Park can be found in the nearby village of Hesket Newmarket (7.5 miles), where you can enjoy a range of walks along the picturesque trails along the Cumbrian Way through to the neighbouring village of Caldbeck.

Up a step and into this feature property, you’ll start on the first floor where there’s a lovely open-plan living area. First off is the lounge which you won’t want to leave with the two sofas’ surrounding the TV, then we have the snug area up a spiral staircase which is perfect for any point of the day to relax in with a good book. Tucked away in the corner is the dining area with oak seating and a table. The open-plan kitchen means no one is left out when it comes to mealtimes, and everything is here for cooking up a treat. Down the winding wooden stairs to the ground floor, there’s the main bedroom with a double bed, followed by the twin zip-and-link room that can be made up as a super-king-size bed if required, and then the charming main bathroom. Finally, a lovely single bedroom finishes off the accommodation.

Outside, there is a lovely garden area with a table and chairs to enjoy the countryside views.

This cottage has lot's of potential. It is situtaed in middle of countryside where you have just a few neighbours. The neighbours were very friendly. The cottage is not what it seems from outside. We loved the beams and my dog loved to watch the world from the kitchen windowsill. We loved the upside-down style as you can watch the sunsets from the lRead moreiving area space. The beds were comfy. We had the best sleep there as it was nice and cool in bedrooms. Everything smelled fresh and was clean. Hide
